Online Attendance: https://rheumnow.live/live/60/page/721     -   this is for participants who will be live streaming the event. They will have live and download access to all presentations over a streaming platform. They will be able to participate in Q&A for the sessions via the same platform.

1. Demonstrate increased knowledge regarding the pathogenic mechanisms, genetics and immunologic processes underlying rheumatic, inflammatory and immunologic disorders.
2. Recognize the importance of early diagnosis and initiation of disease modifying and novel therapies.
3. Discuss the mechanisms of action of various drugs and immunomodulatory agents commonly used in rheumatologic care.
4. Explain the range of adverse events that may accompany the use of immunomodulatory agents and know how to best avoid, prevent, and monitor for drug safety.
5. Define newly revised disease and diagnostic classification criteria and outcome measures necessary for the optimal care of rheumatic disease patients.
6. Recognize the lifestyle modifications, ancillary services, and other therapies necessary to best manage both the disease and comorbidities attendant to rheumatic conditions.
7. Discuss the importance of shared decision making and effective clinician-patient communications while delivering optimal medical care for those with rheumatic diseases.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Cincinnati and RheumNow, Inc. The University of Cincinnati is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physician Credit Designation:

The University of Cincinnati designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC Points

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 12.5 ABIM MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
