Overview
Advanced practice providers (APPs) are a growing part of the UC Physicians workforce, and multiple studies support the quality care that APPs provide. This Symposium is a half-day continuing education conference designed for APPs to offer evidence-based education across all disciplines of APP practice, in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The Symposium is designed to include noteworthy keynote spears and also offers continuing education credit, including pharmacology. The APP Symposium is also an excellent opportunity for UC Physician APPs from across the system to network and collaborate.

Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Apply new knowledge about neurologic resuscitation to the care of unstable patients.
  2. Describe the importance of having leaders in key upper management positions to foster the APP concept in the early years.
  3. Differentiate objective leadership responsibilities from more subjective personal responsibilities.
  4. Summarize generalized healthy eating nutrient-dense dietary patterns for busy APPs as well as our patients.
  5. Discuss major ASM (anti seizure medication) drug interactions.

Accreditation
The University of Cincinnati is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Cincinnati designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
