Objectives

Upon completion of this course the participant should be able to:


  1. Describe the rationale for using nutrient supplements, with focus on N-acetyl cysteine, in mental health;
  2. Review the efficacy and safety data of N-acetyl cysteine for use in major depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia;
  3. Present preliminary data on use of N-acetyl cysteine in at-risk individuals.
