Objectives

As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Summarize age-related changes in immunity that put older patients at high risk for shingles;
  2. Delineate complications of shingles that occur at higher rates in older patients;
  3. Compare and contrast administration and efficacy rates for available herpes zoster vaccinations;
  4. Devise approaches to improve HCP communication with patients regarding the herpes zoster vaccine.
