Overview

This online course is a recording of the live Internal Medicine Medical Grand Rounds presentation on January 19, 2022.

Learners should not claim credit for both the live session and this online course; review your transcript to determine if you received credit for the live session before taking this course. Speaker of this presentation cannot claim credit.

Course Structure:
1.  Review CME Front Matter, and review speaker/planning member's disclosure information located in the Faculty Tab;
2.  View content in its entirety;
3.  Successfully complete the post-test (75%);
4.  Complete the course evaluation. Your Certificate of Participation will become available in the same area after you have completed the evaluation.

Physicians eligible for ABIM MOC II points must also complete Step 5 below to be included in the MOC completion report to ACCME and ABIM:

5.  Click the “Claim MOC” button next to “Download Certificate” under My CME > Evaluations & Certificates. When prompted, provide your ABIM Diplomate number, and your birth month and date. Your MOC credits will be reported to ACCME and ABIM within one month.

Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify the risk factors leading to the three major types of stroke;
  2. Discuss the best approaches for secondary prevention of stroke from various causes;
  3. Discuss the current approved treatments, and treatment windows for acute ischemic stroke.
